What’s the novel about?

When Jason Prophet is hired by his best friend to guard a hauntingly beautiful woman from Japan, he not only falls in love, he finds his best friend murdered. When the woman is kidnapped, Prophet swings into action. The clues lead him on a journey to Japan. Unable to speak the language and mystified by the customs, he soon he finds himself sinking into the dark world of the Yakuza, the infamous Japanese mafia. With only his wits and a dogged determination, he closes in to save the woman and revenge his friend’s death. But neither event turns out as he expects.
